Jen Dickson

Jen has worked in the field of therapeutic services for 10 years. She has experience working with teens and children and their families in residential treatment. Her specialty is trauma and attachment. She uses a multi facetted approach to meet the needs of each client. Therapeutic services are strengths focused and client driven. Through the use of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, she can assist with traumatic experiences from anywhere in the lifespan. She is also versed in Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy, Attachment Focused Family Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She sees clients of all ages struggling with difficulties resulting from trauma, ADHD, ODD, CD, Personality Disorders, Adoption, Foster Care, and everyday life stressors.

Shawn Daugherty, BS

Hey my name is Shawn Daugherty and I have worked in the mental health/social service field for around 10 years. I have a Bachelors degree in Psychology and have extensive experience and knowledge in multiple areas including work with sexual offenders, clients with substance abuse, clients needing social and life skills, clients with a history of multiple kinds of abuse, both with victims as well as perpetrators. I am also an informed supervisor for clients who needs this type of supervision. I have worked with the Department of Youth Corrections as a tracker, mentor, and family preservation worker. I have worked extensively in foster homes as a foster care behavioral coach, both supporting the youths as well as the foster home adult leaders. I have worked with many counties with DHS doing family preservation, life skills/parenting, mentoring, have contracted through an agency with District 20 in Colorado Springs mentoring children who have struggled in the school/home setting, and have done supervised visitations. I work both with the parental figures in any case as well as the with the youth. I use a unique approach of doing mentoring or any role while using a therapeutic approach mixed with having a good working relationship with the client(s) that has been extremely effective. I love assisting people in this field and look forward to continuing to joining with others in making a positive difference in other’s lives. 

Deanna Ward, MSC, MFT

Deanna has experience with children, families, and individuals. She has volunteered for over four years with a domestic violence organization and is certified as a Confidential Victims Advocate. Deanna has a heart and passion for working with children and families who have a history with domestic violence issues. Deanna works with children in a residential treatment facility that children with Reactive Attachment Disorder and other mood disorders. She has worked with families who have stress from challenged children as well as having experience with developmentally disabled children. Deanna uses theories that support the family system and works to build resiliency with her clients that can be used for everyday life challenges.  

Susanna L. Prensner MSW

Susanna is a wife and mother of 4 boys located in Colorado Springs. She has been a community social worker working with at risk youth and families for over 12 years. She has a Masters in Social Work and specializes in family preservation, adoption/foster care, working with abnormal and difficult behaviors, parenting and working with high risk youth. Previously she was a hunter/jumper competitor and helped run an At Risk Youth horse camp for over 5 years. Susanna has been riding since age 9, she showed nationally and currently supports Natural Horsemanship. She has a lot of experience giving lessons, as an equine mentor and life coach. Her passion is combining horses with therapy bringing a unique approach to healing and hope.

Cassie has been working in the field of "family therapy" for over 10 years, with children, teens, families and adults. She has in-depth experience working with the Deaf population, young children with experiential play therapy, difficult teens and building stronger families. She has trained in Trauma Informed Care, Informed Supervision, and Therapeutic Behavior Therapy. She has over 5 years experience working with post-adoptive kids and their families, refugees and teen moms.
